1. Who We Are
All tours and services are operated by Avocet Tanzania Safaris Ltd,a licensed and registered company in the United Republic of Tanzania.

2. When These Terms Apply

These terms apply whenever you book a trip with us—whether directly or through our approved agents.

3. Our Commitment
We are a licensed, experienced tour operator. Our guides are professionally trained, and we follow sustainable, ethical tourism practices that support local communities and protect the environment.

4. Personal Information
We collect personal data solely to arrange your tour and comply with legal regulations. Some of this data may be shared with third-party service providers when necessary.

5. Communication
Only trust communications from our official email domains and phone numbers listed on our websites. If in doubt, contact us through our verified channels.

6. Booking & Payments

• A booking is confirmed once a deposit is received.
• Full payment is required at least 14 days before arrival.
• All transaction fees are your responsibility. Credit card payments incur a 3.5% surcharge.
• Minors must be booked and accompanied by a responsible adult.

  7. Prices
  Once confirmed, prices are fixed unless Tanzanian authorities increase park or tax fees. You may choose to accept the revised rate or cancel with a partial refund.

8. Changes & Cancellations
Changes are free if they don’t impact third-party bookings.

Cancellation fees (per person):

• $100 deposit is non-refundable
• 10% if canceled 90+ days before the trip
• 30% if canceled 60–89 days before
• 60% if canceled 30–59 days before
• 80% if canceled 8–29 days before
• 100% if canceled 0–7 days before

  We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen changes.

9. Travel Documents
You are responsible for ensuring your passport and visa are valid. Entry requirements may change, so consult your local embassy for the latest information.

10. Accommodation
Shared rooms or tents are standard unless you request a private option. Substitutes of equal quality may be arranged if necessary.

11. Medical Fitness
You must be medically fit to travel. We may request a signed medical form. We reserve the right to deny participation for health-related reasons.

12. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is mandatory. It must cover medical emergencies, cancellations, and (for trekkers) high-altitude evacuation.

13. Health & Vaccinations
Please consult your doctor for current medical advice. We offer only general, non-medical guidance.

14. Guide Authority
You must follow your guide’s instructions. For your safety, the lead guide’s decisions are final during trekking and safari activities.

15. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge and accept all risks associated with adventure travel in remote areas. We are not liable for injuries or losses arising from such risks.

16. Liability for Damage
You are responsible for any damage to equipment, property, or accommodation caused by your actions.

17. Third-Party Services
We are not liable for problems related to services provided by airlines, hotels, or other third-party providers.

18. Additional Expenses
Expenses such as drinks, souvenirs, tips, and meals not included in the itinerary are your responsibility.

19. Gear & Luggage
Trekking gear is not included but can be rented. Lost or delayed luggage is your responsibility unless we assist with emergency gear during trekking.

20. Valuables
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Secure storage can be arranged upon request.

21. Photos & Videos
Images captured during tours may be used for promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in advance.

22. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our control (e.g., weather, natural disasters, unrest).

23. Complaints
Please contact your assigned tour manager for any concerns. If unresolved, escalate to our senior team. We aim to respond within 48 hours.

24. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
